Default Custom Install with MOTORIZATION.... need parts info ?

I need to do some type of motorization, like drop down a panel. And I need something reliable. What do installers use ?

I have a solenoid (like a door popper) but that's too drastic. I also have a small aftermarket locking acutator, but don't think it can stand up to an upholstered panel's weight for too long.

Any one know ?

Check out Select Products. They sell good instructional videos as well as the parts you'll need.

Select product sells actuators for over $200 !!! Folk THAT.... anyone have a less expensive solution...something that can lift maybe 2-3 lbs reliably about 4X a day ?

You hsould really think about adapting some cheap power window motors - some simple fabrication, and it should work. Go to the junkyard to get some parts.
