Default 2 months without a car and now this. (story inside)

So 2 months ago i was offered a greddy turbo kit for 700, i said sure and the guy was a friend of mine and the kit wasnt working properly for him cause his car is biult for NA 12.1 comp, stage 3 cam. yatta yatta. so i get the kit and have to go away for my brothers graduation and my friends decide to put the kit on for me. Im pumped when i go away figuring i will have a boosted car when i get home, they are very very good with cars and the only ones i trust with my car.
so i go away and all i am getting is updates and them saying how my oil is way too hot, the oil pan is smoking, this doesnt make me happy but they go on. turns out the turbo needed to be rebuilt and that was 500 bucks here in town. i end up mailing the turbo away and keeping the rest of the kit on the car for more than a month while my 2 roomates who are girls let me use their cars to do my errands and go to work, we all work at the same place however and they drive automatics, an automatic 3 speed corolla!!! this hurts me more than being eaten alive by an anaconda would. Anyway i sent the turbo to cheap turbo.com who did an awesome job on the rebuild even though it did take 3.3 weeks altogether and when i found out they were late on sending the turbo out i ordered 2 day air and paid for it, they promptly send it ground. so a week later it arrives and the guys who were going to make me a new oil line were all late to work by 3 hours and i had to wait for them to get in, a 40 minute drive to the shop is postponed until i get a call saying they were in. Now a freak storm rolls in and people are pulling off of the road it is so bad (bad omen) and i keep on going, to hell with the weather. the line is made, everything is ready and i am off to work.
thankfully i get out of work early and we work on the car for 5.5 hours and now she is working
All i can say is i damn near blew myself all over the dash my boostcontroller is a manual type so i need to fine tune it but she was a beast all the way up to 100 3 times in succession and 9 psi creeping. i am so very happy i crossed over to this side of the power world.

2 questions:
with the manual boost controller tighten or loosen does what for the boost level?

how can i control boost spike and creep?

thanks guys, this site has helped me with everything i know about my car, and forced induction on it

Why do I get the feeling this post is going to be followed up by another "Oil coming out my BOV!!!!" posts. Jeez.

TURN DOWN THE BOOST. NOW.

If you UNSCREW the boost controller, it allows more air to get past the valve, therefore the wastegate "see's" more boost, and opens earlier. AKA less boost, tighter control.

PLEASE be careful with your car.

my deal with this car was never to be dumb with it, we finished at 2 somethin n the morn, i cant have it tuned until next week cause thats when my appointment is. I have blown enough engines to know that i dont want to f this one up.

I have the simple greddy kit with FMU as fuel mgmt (temporarily) and a walbro pump, 450cc injectors, and an safc which will go on with the tune. yes it is an internally wastgated turbofrom all the tuning we have done i dont think the wastegate has even opened yet and from what i understand thats good. the motor is a d16y7.

i will be taking it easy because i am too damn conservative a person already (i find myself driving under the speed limit all the time) so you hopeully wont be hearing anything about oil where it doesnt need to be.

thanks for the concern Sir Kid, and the info on the MBC
