Default Test pipe (no cat) cause damage to DC Sports Header?

NooB Question: Will not running a catalytic converter damage a 4-2-1 ceramic coated header? I never thought about it, but the little information chingadera sheet that DC Sports included with mine had a warning about that.

Any basis to that, or is it something they had to include for the CARB Gestapo?

Also, is it Kosher to powdercoat ceramic headers?

uhhhh, no there should be no way that a test pipe could hurt a header. the cat is after the header so with or without a cat the exhaust flows through it the same.

and as far as powdercoating, i guess you could do it. you will just need some pretty high temp powder and sand through the ceramic coating.
