Default I want to go hybrid....i have pricing questions, and need opinions on my ideas.

Ok whats up fellas, heres the deal.

Right now i have a 2001 gsr. i might be going back to school so i know i wont be able to afford the monthly payments. So i figured i stick with what i know and go with another honda.

I want an EG, preferably something that is in good clean shape, because this will be my daily driver. So here is what i want to do. I need to know how much this all will cost.

EG---- 2-4k
gsr swap--- 3-4k
gsr rear brake swap--- 300?
4040 pro vavle and master cylinder--- ???
GC's with probably AGX's to keep it cheap and effective--- 600?
gsr rims and tires------ 300-600??

Now i hope to swap a lot of factory parts to this car i fi do it. I also plan on doing everything myself.

what exhaust will fit an EG? Will an ITR exhaust fit?

so tell me what i need to know?

thanks a lot guys.

sounds like a good plan, nothing really to it, find a clean EG, get all the necessary parts for the swap, install all the parts....

as far as exhaust depends on what you want...if you use GSR exhasut manifodl then you will need to add about 2-3" to the exhaust, if you use b16a, ITR or LS then it just bolts up....

ITR exhaust will fot but will some cutting and welding, also it seems to stick out alot on the car...go with a custom piping 2 1/4-2.5" and some good non restrictive muffler...

YEs... expect to spend at least 30% more in stuff you didn't think you'd need or those things you just 'had' to have. Also expect it to take longer so start NOW!! I have more than doubled my original budjet if that gives you an idea... I am also a compulsive buyer tho heh.

I'm a very tight-assed buyer, and I spend 25% more than I expected.... $4000 instead of $3000... though a lot of that was because I got a new clutch.

Sounds to me like you need to wrap your gsr around a tree. Then buy it back from your insurance and now you have every thing you need to do your swap.

Sounds like a plan. Expect to pay on the high end for both the car and the B18C in good condition. Its really ridiculous what people are asking for the GSR engines now but i guess that's just supply & Demand economics in action.

My only advice is, don't bother with the rear brake swap right now get an EX or SI chassis and install a type R rear sway bar. More performance for your $$$.

Good luck!

what is that an h22a. look sliek it by teh way it is tilted back. I really not into drag racing. I think i would take teh hybrid to th etrack to see what it could do but thats not what i like. I like auto-x and road racing. driving fast in a straight line doesnt do much for me

This motor is a H22 in a Accord. They come this way from Japan. The reason why they are tilted is because of oil pick up reasons. Preludes do very well in road racing.
