I am ready to assemble my built LS bottom end going into my 99 SI. I am going to order my timing belt and water pump.


My question is: I have a b16 waterpump, a gsr timing belt will work with a b16 waterpump correct? or do i need a gsr waterpump?

Also I am trying to order the dowel pins for my z10 block girdle. What are the dowel pins i need to order?? I have heard that u can find them in a crv transmission, are they found in a gsr motor aswell? The parts guy at acura wasnt sure, there were two different dowel pins showing up and we werent sure which would work.

You will need (2) 94301-12200 and (4) 90715-PC6-000 dowel pins. Make sure that the crank turns smoothly with the mains torqued, the girdle can cause the main bearing caps to become mis-aligned, which will require align boring.

 

When i had my block bored, I gave him my main caps and he aligned bored it. You think there will be a problem with the girdle on?

 

If you did not have the girdle on when the engine was align bored, there is the possibility...
