Default Greddy Turbo Question

Ok I was doing a little research and found out that the Greddy turbo kits seem to run a lil on the rich side, and in some instances, have a tendacy to have boost creep or boost spike, ( what ever its called ). I'm due to purchase a kit in the very near future and was wondering what could be done to prevent either from happening. I have a 96 GS-R and I'm trying to stay ahead of the game. Once i purchase the kit, I will be switching the blue box out for a Hondata within 30 or so days. Just curious, with the Hondata and tuning, could this solve those two problems. One last question, since I don't , ( and I really don't ) plan on upping the boost no time soon, would my engine benefit from a lower compression ration through an inline pro head gasket. Thanks

i dont think the thicker headgasket is necessary with stock boost.

It seems that you are ditching the blue box for Hondata which is a good thing. As for the boost creep issue, I have not had an issue with it, and on the stock settings, I am not sure it really does have any boost spikes. I dont think your engine would mind the headgasket, but you should be fine with the stock one, too.
