tach?

Default tach?

i need help to hook up my tach in my 89 si, i know how to hook up all the wires except the one wire that goes to the coil, thanks

you can do one of two things either hook straight to the neg. coil which is inside the dist. or hook it to the blue tach feed actually it would be a splice since you need the wire to be connected in order for the car to run.

Best thin to do is run that wire directly in the engine bay. Splice in to that blue wire coming from the distributor. You'll get a more accurate reading from there. The blue wir is coming out of the distributor and is next to the black wire. There is two connectors on the distributor, you want the blue wire coming from the connector that only has two wires on it.

How do you get the wires through the fire wall? There is this plug thingy that I see with wires going through it. Is that it? I tried to pry it off, but it won't budge. If that is the right hole, is it wise to cut off the rubber part?
