using 5 years of detailing experience, some 3M products, high speed electric buffer, and about 4 hours.......the 150 thousand mile future race car looks new again. but......as i continued to strip out the interior, i discoverd some unexpected rust. i dunno quite what i'm gonna do about it. maybe i'll get a sandblaster er somethin.......or hand sand it and spray it, or spray over it without sanding it, or just leave it. anybody here with experience in this arena have any suggestions?
my total cost of the project so far........$2564 and 16.5 hours labor logged
and of course..........pics

i did take some, but it was so humid out this afternoon that there was a "fog" over the lens, so the pics were no good, it sucks. trust me, it looked like you think a 150k mile car would.
There is a product at walmart thats called rust eater or something like that.. Its in the car care/paint section. Basically you paint it on, leave it for the time prescribed, and then wash it off.. It eats the rust and then just prime it afterwards..
I used it on my lawnmower and it was incredible!
