Default Well it finally happened.....

After owning my R for 3 years 2 months 2 days.... some punk coward fucktard punched in my passenger side fender....

I parked the car for a couple of hours in the middle of the day... came out and noticed a huge dent in the fender.... no scratches or paint rub from a car anywhere... greasy finger prints all over my windows....

I cant believe people.... wow... I am just furious right now.... if I would have caught the person...

Anyhow, its at least 1200.00 dollars easy!!!! I am going to fix it and sell it….

This car is a rice, punk, fucktard magnet.

Anyhow, anyone have a good body shop in the Toronto area... please let me know.

i hate fucktards!

i hate parking my car anywhere but driveways and i am constantly nervous about my R. it is not normal but owning this car outweighs all negatives it brings about.

our world is turning to ****...too many uneducated scum bag fuckards.

maybe someday i will have enough time to park my car in a lot and watch from 50yards away until some idiot decides he wants to key it or take my red A emblems and then bam! hockey stick right over his brain

sorry to hear about your misfortune and i wish death and sickness upon the scummer who messed up your ride.

just my .02$

good luck

Front or rear? Why not just get a used piece off another car if it's the front.

And yes, owning a Hype R does lead to increased paranoia. I actually sleep better now that I have sold mine.

Well its not as bad as I was expecting, thought it was another theft.

It might not be that much. I had my rear fender kicked in(probably looks just like yours does) I had a body shop check it out and they said it would ned to be pounded out and repainted. I had Paintless Dent Removal come check it out and they thought the same.

However they gave it a try and thanks to the thin sheetmetal that honda uses it popped out and then we took out the tailights and he went in with a rod to smooth it out the rest of the way. Total cost $90

Oh and I've got you beat, mine hadnt even had its 1st oil change yet

Paintless dent guys are awesome....as long as the paint isn't cracked or chipped, they can usually fix it perfectly....if you can't find anyone let me know.

WOW... I can't believe this... While I understand completely how pissed you are, don't let these punks convince you to sell your car. Just enjoy it even more.

Wouldn't that classify as "vandalism"? I would at least look into it. Having to pay out of your "pocket" is wrong..

The problem is, if you call the insurance to inquire, about the situation, they may begin processing the claim even if you decide not to file..... at least thats what I have been told....

Try Auto Cosmetic. I've had buddies use them for paintless tent removal and they've been really happy with them. They're out in Brampton-ish area. http://www.autocosmetic.com/

First I think that you need to do some more research. If the only thing that got hurt was the front fender, then you shouldn't be paying more than 200.00 for a used fender. I don't know where you got the 1200 figure but that's a ripoff.

Go buy a used fender from somewhere here and put it on yourself, no big deal.

Secondly, insurance will cover this. Depending on your carrier, this is classified as vandalism. I have AAA and they allow for three per year before they raise the rates. Anything that was not your fault, they cannot raise your rates for. You really need to know your policy and all of the facts. It sounds like you have been believing everyone without actually researching yourself.

It is not illegal to call your insurance company and ask about their vandalism policy. They cannot write a claim, unless you tell them to. When my car was vandalized I informed them that I did not want to make a claim, but that I was just informing them of the incident.

Another thing you have to figure out is what your deductible is. If it is $100 like mine then it is worth claiming. If your is $1000 then buy the used parts and fix it yourself.

I hope my post will help you and others. You have to know your rights. What the hell is insurance for if you are going to pay out of pocket for something that you could not have prevented?

Insurance by law cannot raise your rates after one incident. Was the fender all that was damaged? or was there key marks? One painted fender = 150-200 on here.

I had the same exact thing happen some punk punched in a front fender right on the bend where the metal is harder. I took it to a dentless removal guy... 18- got that and a few door dings out.. it's a GREAT job.. they can't get it perfect... but a good one can get it to a point where it can't be noticed unless extremely scrutinized.. plus u don't gotta deal with painting and blanding also.

I'm sorry to hear that... I know the feeling -- and it sucks.

It baffles me as I just can't believe the thought process that goes through someone's head that would lend them to act like such idiots. This modern day "if I can't own it, I'll break it" mentality has got to stop. There is just no respect for other people's stuff.

Good luck with the repairs.

Well - I just got back from speaking with both a dent doctor rep and a body shop that was recommended to me.

The dent doctor said that there will be no way in hell he could get the fender to "new like" conditions because of the dent placements. He mentioned the lines will look choppy, he did not even want to attempt it.

The body shop quotations, with a new fender in 964.23 taxes in, so I was not too far from my 1200 estimate. They will look for a used fender, if they can find one, this quote will drop, by how much, I don't know.

As for my insurance, I spoke with my rep, he mentioned, in cases of vandalism, the insurance co, will cover damages. He mentioned, although my insurance rates will not increase since this is my first report of vandalism, it will be recorded in my file.... which means, if I would ever choose to leave my current provider, a background check will be performed by the potential new insurance company.... since I have 1 other claim (not my fault, R was broken into to steal my STOCK RADIO - Cost of damages 3000.00), I might be classified as high risk..... Not too mentioned, my deductible is 500.00 anyhow.... its just not worth processing this claim through the insurance co.

So, basically, because some fucktard decided to kick or punch in my front fender, I am almost a grand out of pocket....

Well, they way I look at it is, it could have been worse - If I would have caught the person, I would probably be making my one phone call to a lawyer from jail after a murdering him or her.... Life goes on... I will be selling this car.
