i have a 1000 watt sony, and a jl12w3 d6.. i did the 2 ohm load, maybe i messed it up.. it hits very hard but the suibwoofer looks to be moving in.. also.. my setup will only work if i have the speaker wires on + + on the amp, or - - on the amp, if i do bridge, 1 side +, and ther other speaker terminal - i get nothing... odd eh ?
Speaker moving in could be you have your RCA's backward at the HU or the amp. Or the wires hooked to the sub wrong.
When you bridged your amp to + on one side and - on the other and got nothing, did you try switching them. As in hooking it to the + on the side where you had it hooked to - and also opposite on the other side?

the d6 is a 6ohm dvc, so you'll be running it at 3ohm, for future reference..
does the deck have a separate output for the sub amp? if so, it might have the phase 180° out of phase... or it could be on the amp as well. otherwise, check for a switch labeled LPF and switch it to LPF, and make sure you use the correct positive and negative terminals when you try to bridge

with dvc woofers you have to wire bothsets of coils or it wont work.on the speaker, wire the + to + and the - to -.take the + wire and hook to the + side of the amp and do the same to the neg.duel 6 coils will net a 3 ohm load.
