EP3 tranny problem
This is my first standard transmission car. Sometimes when i am still moving forward (slowly) and try to put it in reverse the gears grind. I am sure that the clutch is to the floor. Is that normal or should i take it in to be looked at?
You should try to be completely stopped when you go to shift into reverse.
Even if your car is seemingly stopped (as in, just barely moving forward)
there will still be some momentum in the drive train that could cause your
gear selector to grind.
See if you can get a friend who is used to a manual transmission to try the
same thing - if it feels abnormal to him as well, then maybe call the dealer. But
it sounds like you just aren't coming to a complete stop (IIRC, reverse has
a locking mechanism so you don't misshift into R).
