Mandrel or crushed bent intercooler piping, does it matter?
Does it make that big of a difference if the intercooler piping is mandrel or crushed bent? I will be running an itr with 9psi if that matters. Is it going to a make a dramatic difference if i have it crushed bent? Let me know guys.
I'd stick to mandrel bends (you can get them fron JC Whitney, etc)
Crush bends will be more restrictive than mandrel bends (slightly), but the main reason I would not use them is that the diameter is not consistant along the radius of the bend.
If you had an angle where leaving part of the bend leg in place to clamp the silicone coupler was not possible....the pipe diameter will be smaller and slightly "non-circular". Mandrel bends is your best bet IMO, good luck

I agree.
