Default Have questions about turbo w/ p28 mugen program and skunk2 cam gears.

I have a na set up right now, but I'm going turbo. I currently have ctr cams and skunk2 cam gears, and mugen p28 program.

I've been told to swap the ctr cams for some gsr cams, but do I still keep the cam gears for the the stock gsr cams or do I need to get stock gsr cam gears too? Plus, will I have to go back to my 96 p72 ecu, or can I keep my p28 mugen program? Thanks!!

if you have cam gears, then keep your CTR cams and re-adjust your camgears for boost. You'll have to drop your engine compression down lower too. And if you want to make the most out of your turbo, i wouldn't use either ECUs.. i'd invest in a tunable standalone ECU..

yeah, I want hondata, but I need to save for that. So I can actually keep my ctr cams and sprockets w/ my greddy turbo kit? Which ecu should I use for the time being, before I get hondata. What can I do to lower my compression, at a low cost.

use the p72. definitely do NOT use the mugen. the ignition is advanced too much that you would be asking for trouble.

thanks, but what about the cam gears and ctr cams. Should I swap them for some gsr cams and still use my skunk2 gears. Or what do I do here?

what he said. unless you can sell the ctr cams and cam gears, buy gsr cams and cam gears, and make some money off of it.
