Default air box question and potential problems please help

ok so today we were down at the beach and i got a lil bored and so we wanted to make my type s a lil but louder so we decided to pop the airbox off and see wat was there i found out it was a cone filter so we took off the whole top unit and stuck the on the cone onto the hose connecting to whereever im not sure but ya will this cause any problems having it like this i drove about 12 miles like this so far car is sitting in my garage still with the bix popped off and in the trunk this is basically a cheap *** version of an intake but im not sure if this will mess up the sensors or the breather to tha motor the cone is kind of connected to the motor but on all half ***
so will this damage the car in any way
ps the car sounds like a BEAST

People have done that on their EP3, just sticking a filter on the end of the tube. It's not too bad for the car, just upgrade to a better intake in the future.

Nothing will happen to your car if you keep running the S like that. As long as you keep the flter on that tube you will be fine. If you remove that filter you will run into some problems. Good luck.

SWEET ya i love the sound of it im thinkin about gettin a REAL cone filter today instead of the stock one it would probaly stay on better the stock one isnt that great of a fit so is it ok to have nothin realy connected to that litttle hose that goes directly into the head from the intake
