Default How Can I Test a Resistor Box To See If It Is Still Good?

I got a resistor box with my kit that I ordered, but there appears to be a raddling sound inside like something might have possibly broke while one its way to me, is there a way that I can test the box to see if it all still works?

I don't see why you couldn't use a multimeter to check the resistance through the box - I want to say it should be ~10k ohms but I'm halfway pulling that out of my *** so you might just want to have somebody test a known functioning box then compare your results.
