can I use a small compressor for primer?
I'm going to be getting my car painted soon, although I only have a small portable compressor(33 gallon). Do you think that it would be alright just to primer with? For the painting, im going to be bringing it over to a buddies shop, although he'd rather i did the priming here. What i want to do is just pick up a decent gun with a fairly big tip(since primer is thick) then just use my small compressor to primer it.
So will I be able to get by with the small compressor?? I know i'll probably have to stop a couple times to let it re-fill, but will it screw up the paint job?
thanks
also, i probably wont be doign the whole car at once, i'll probably do the hood, bumpers, hatch, and maybe even fenders seperatly. so maybe i'd be able to get by with it??
