Default Fired up the CW 98 after a 200+ day slumber

Finally got the car back on the road a few days ago. After putting some Stabil in the tank, new oil in the pan and some old snow rims and tires on to save the radials over 6 1/2 months ago #98-0396 roams the streets once again!

Man I missed driving this car, the only thing I have been driving lately is a freaking HMMWV.

What a list of things I have to do now.

Change the 50 mile old oil

Have a

Clay the whole car

Have another

Polish and wax

Have another

Go over car with a fine tooth comb

Thanks all.

Hopefully I can stay home at least a year before having to deploy again. Will most likely be 6 months though.

I'd drain the gas w/ the stabil in it. I believe stabil is supposed to be used before storing the car. when ready to be put back into use, the stabil /gas mix should be discarded and fresh gas should be be used.

I may be mistaken, but read the back of the can... that's what I remember when using it for motorcycles and generators a few years ago....

oh, yeah... welcome back!

Yes, my wife got to run the stabil out of the tank. I just got to refill the tank! she always deploys for less time than me.

that was a good night, was it not? Nothing like a nice one fingered salute to our gracious Omani Hosts. Thanks for posting me, my drunk head and dirty shirt.

I did get her clean though, took some hours and some beers.

Well what would be the point of putting in the stabil if you're just going to drain it later on anyway? Why not just drain it when you first put it in storage?
