Necessary parts for JDM header w/ 2.5" collector
I realize I'll need a new Donut gasket for the collector. However, if I'm going to run a Catco 2.5" cat will I need to use a 2.5" flange these places sell to run the JDM ITR or DC Sports header?
Also, will I have any issues mating the Catco (std. core) 2.5" cat to my Tanabe Hyper Medallion exhaust?
Thanks.

you can get a 2.5" flange that tapers down to 2.25" welded onto your exhaust...
contact Dave @ SMSP for the part...I just got one for my 2.5" cat to 2.25" exhaust.

If you run the ITR JDM header you will need the 65mm donut and if you run the DC JDM you will need the 2-1/2" donut. For either header you need a floating flange on the cat that has the bolt holes on a 4-3/4" centerline. You'll also need a 3 bolt gasket for the cat outlet flange to the B pipe (assuming your cat has an outlet flange on it).
The Tanabe has a 2" OD x 2" long bottle neck at the B pipe flange compared to the rest of the system which is 60mm OD (2.36"). If you want it done right you will remove that bottle neck. If you don't you'll have the outlet of the cat at 2-1/2" ID hitting the entrance of the Tanabe B pipe at 1-7/8" ID. Darth VadeR picked up 4HP peak by just installing the adapter on his Tanabe, with Toda header and one of my 94006 CarSound cats on his ITR.
BTW, I know where you can get all these pieces.

flanges that do not allow the bolts to line up parallel are not a good thing.Willie

-who is waiting for his refund check to come so he can buy a high flow cat.
