Default Validity of a Type-R head?

How can you tell if a JDM type-R head is real? any physical marks on the head? thanks in advance

i don't know if it makes a difference. . .but it is a JDM head, anyone?

if you look on the exhaust side, it has markings. it should say P73

If the head was removed from a JDM ITR Block then it's probably a JDM ITR head.

i think he wants to know how u can tell if its a type r head by just looking at the head itself...without seeing the head coming off a type r block...

USDM heads have green paint on the distributer side. Don't know about JDM ones.

The paint also comes off.

The jdm ones have it too. And the paint does come off easily, no thanks to a curious friend who wondered what the 'greenshit' was. Here is a pic of what everyone is talking about.

not really for the JDM bling. . .i could care less if it is JDM or USDM (i hear that both are identical anyways, besides the cams), but the fact is, the head i am looking at is supposedly a 'JDM' head. . .don't know where it came from. . .because for all i know, it's a b16 head with an ITR manifold, valve cover, etc.
