Default PM 3

I keep seeing PM 3 everywhere on my D15B7 internals. What is that? Just some sort of ID or what? Just curious.

Also, my pistons say 0.8 under the -> (belt arrow). Whats with that. Their black too, and yes, I've cleaned them. I'm such a noob. I don't trust myself to do anything with the block....

I can't help with the pistons questions, I've never had a honda engine that far apart.
But, the PM3 is part of a part number sequence or part of a part code
Honda part #'s have 3 parts, a 5 or 6 digit numerical first sequence.
That identifies what the part is.
The second 3 character alpha/numeric sequence, in this case "PM3"
this identifies which vehicles the part is applicable for.
Then the last sequence seems to narrow down the application of the parts use, and differentiates between two versions of the same part.
I am being VERY general and OVER simplifying.
I'm sure it's a more complex type of thing than I'm making it seem.
But that's the "Basic" gist of how the part numbers work.
I'm sure if I"m wrong I'll get flamed.
Anyway the "PM3" is a stamped on all different kinds of parts as an internal identifier, I believe.
Like, I know parts that are specfic to the 2G CRX are "SH2" or "SH3"
and when you find a part stamped with SH2 or SH3 you know it was used initially in the 2G CRX.
I'm not doing that good of a job explaining it, I'm tired.
But hopefully you get the idea.
Maybe someone else can explain it better.

a lot of the times, the parts will have the equivelant number of the ECU. such as a 90 integra has "pr4" stamped on everything from teh intake manifold, to the cruise control box, and the ECU is a PR4

I found the PM 3 on the rocker arms and pistons. So that must mean that the pistons are stock. But I'm curious to what that 0.8 means. I thought it was overbore, but thats a big bore...

I wouldn't know about the ECU and PM3 thing, I'm using a PM6. But hey, it sounds good. thanks man. My intake manifold say's PO8... Also, I couldn't find an ECU that used PM3...

PM3 0.8-> thats what it looks like, pic is kinda fuzzy....
