Honda glue
I posted this already in the tech section and apparently no1 has ever stripped down an engine that's been apparently glued together. I'm currently stripping down my engine and the last person glued the engine together. Does anyone know how to remove this glue from all the parts of the engine.
you must be referring to the residue left by gaskets. I find it hard to believe that somebody actually glued your motor together (unless the former owner was a real redneck) You must not have torn many motors apart because gasket material is almost always left on machined parts. I use a wire wheel in a drill. works great.
dude hondabond is the izzle i
that stuff, to remove it you can just us a razorblade. my friend tyrone (tybrid perfomance) uses it on almost every gasket, and he was head mechanic at acura for like 6yrs. before opening his shop.

hondabond isn't "glue", it's just honda's version of RTV sealant. it's like the black/blue permatex stuff, only for aluminum parts. you can clean it off with emory cloth, and you can get it from any honda dealer. i actually get it from honda motorcycle shops, as they always have it around.
for hondabond!
for hondabond!
I didn't mean literally gluing it together and this is my first engine but you gotta see the amount of honda bond on here. It's amazing it was everywhere even places its not supposed to be. BTW I know that residue from gaskets is left on motors. "rolleyes"

There is a couple different types of hondabond(that I have seen), 4 and HT (hi temp). Read the package and get the one that best suits your application. Ryan
