I am sure everyone has seen or heard about Jackass and the Gumball 3000. I was just wondering if anyone here was planning on running in the One Lap next year. My father and I are running either next year or the year after in the Econo Car class. The classes are made up by the price of your car when it was "new". Type R's run in a hard class. Just thought I would see if people were interested.
I have a few friends who have done it and they all had a blast. I highly recommend it if you have the time and the means. I am thinking of doing it next year, but it is hard to plan that far in advance when you are a small business owner and you never know what life will throw at you! Apparently this past year someone bought an R just for One Lap and couldn't drive at all, and didn't do so well. That's the only R I have heard about in One Lap.
Hell yeah I am doing it, before I found out that it would be in the US next year I was already wondering how much it would be to ship my car over to the UK and maybe even swing by Glens Place

Yeah, I went to the VIR part of One Lap this year. The guy with the Type R is Blake Fuller from Florida. He is the guy that ran Pikes Peak last year and did well, he was in Sport Compact Car and Grassroots. He used to Run a Jackson Racing supercharger but changed to a JDM Jun racing motor.....he said he got a good deal. The car went fast as crap at some tracks but didn't do as well when Blakes dad drove. I've got pictures I'll try to post.
