Where to paint?
I was talkin to my autoshop teacher about paint because he has a really nice 69 Camaro, and he was tellin me that i can buy the paint i want at a store but where do i get it painted? Where are you guys gettin yours painted at? Are there any branches that do a decent job? Where would i look in my city? Im cool with a cover up job because i dont wanna strip the whole car down and wanna do the stock color again anyways, but i want it NICE. And how much would it run? Thanks
Why not just ask that same teacher. It's a fairly unknown fact that older people with nice american cars know things like this and don't mind talking about it.

The guy that painted my autoshop teachers car ripped him off, they ended up going to court over it and ****. Mainly I was wondering where to get it painted at because all the branches i know of do shitty jobs. And ive seen some nice paint jobs on here and i wanna hear some advice from these guys.

I had a older retired man paint mine, he did a base coat, and a clear. It turned out amazing for 1,100 bux. The guy was a retired auto painter that had his own booth. Just ask around.
PS, the factory si black is sooooo cool, it has this amazing red glitter tone in the sun light!! Ryan

I'm sorry that you thought my response was "stupid ****".
What I was trying to get at is that you should ask people in your area that have had work done in your area. That shouldn't be limited to imports.
Go to local car gatherings and when you see a good paint job, talk to the owner. Was he happy with the shop, what did he pay, how much work did the shop do, how long did they take. Also ask if he was a one-time customer or if he had friends that owned the shop (or worked there).
That's about the only way that you will find out about shops in your area!
And by the way, don't rule out a good paint job coming from somebody's garage. Most of what goes into a good paint job is the prep work and that doesn't require a paint booth.

Go here http://mobworks.com/
Don't bother buying your own paint. Decent shops can get the color you want for a much lower price than you can.
