dude if you are gonna boost it soon why the hell you want to waste the money on juice?? and worst, f-cked the compressions before the snail??

save the money and built the motor up for boost.
you wouldn't be happy with the n20 anyways

Couldn't he get away with a 65?

He explained that, he said "Change your fuel pressure regulator and your fuel pump." See if the guy is still in "Best Buys" that was selling Walbro pumps to H-T members for $99 + shipping; if he's there, hit him up.

I don't know anyone who's mod list doesn't say "TURBO" on it, but coming up with the $$$ is another story for most people. The 50/65/whatever shot will be fun until the snail crawls up, and $500 in a REAL built H22 turbo project doesn't buy much anyway; hell that's just enough for like some pistons or rods, a Spoon radiator cap and a couple of bottles of Water Wetter.

Are you squawking to me?!? Why, yes, it does dude:
SAVE: v. intr.
1) To avoid waste or expense; economize.
2) To accumulate money: saving for a vacation.
3) To set aside for future use; store.

The term "affordable turbo set-up" is an oxymoron, kinda like "cheap hobby". Even junkyard H22 turbo set-ups can cost around $1500, nevermind EEM, and damn if you're talking about fully built, then that means rods, pistons, shaving the crank, sleeving the block, etc, etc, that ain't cheap either. I don't know about you, but I ain't got $2-3-4k+ in my back pocket JUST TO GET STARTED, do you?

My project got put off 'cause the entrance fee was $5700. If you think I'm joking about the dollar figure, go ask Ex-Boosted97Lude or Lone Luder how a well-done H22 turbo project can cost 2-5 times what they paid for the car/what the car is worth.

EDIT: I like that hood, what kind is it? I almost bought an Accord coupe a few years ago when I bought my Passat back in '99. Still love those NSX-style tail lights...

Um...somehow remind me of some bad experience i have..well.

kind of agree on most of the thing you said, fully built+turbo Vs.
turbo with stock internal.

sooner or later the stock internal will take a dump, just matter of time imo.
if i can do it again, I'll built the sucker up before boost.

too bad there aint much "real" internal for F23, which i waiting/praying for it..

turbo'ing is fun but it's a moneypit, i know, sometime I wanna say fwak it and get a F body or DSM first gen and boost it 18lbs daily but instead i still have my fat lady. like one of my friend said, you gonna pay for what you love.

oh yeah one more question, what happen to lone luder? He sounds like he's very unset with H-T??

Vis hood with sparco pin

and the part about affordable turbo, um affordable turbo "kit" =yes
affordable boost=no..haha
there's alot more too it than just buying a snail, those little thing i would never think of before turbo, like obd2/emission in socal and hondata..

peace out

No argument there, no sense in waiting for it to blow before reinforcing it afterwards. Better to build than rebuild...

I'm thinking more along the lines of a 240 with an sr20 or rb25. I'd still keep my Honda also, but I would like a rwd (or awd) something strictly for the track/strip.

Kinda hard to explain, let's just say he apparently had some personal issues that were carrying over to H-T. He's gonna stay though, which is the REALLY important part. Not many can match his H22 turbo or N/A knowledge, so he would've been damn near impossible to really replace IMO.

Yeah, doing it right costs lots of $$$. I think the Greddy set-up is a nice starter turbo kit, but the engine management sucks so I'd still end up going standalone. That's the kit that I'm thinking about getting next Spring.

No emissions testing here in VA, and I'll swap the chip soon so that's cool too.

Cool, that's the hood I want, but I have a lot to do before I get into appearance mods, being slow is really f**king with me...
