I took me 11 months to get all my parts together. I waited until I had the money to buy each part. Also I was able to sell parts and get new ones as my system came together.

It took me about 5 months to get everything, but it was worth everyday the first time I fired it up. Rushing causes problems...

6 months of reserch, about 8 months of putting it together, by the time I had EVERY freaking little peice. Everything from the turbo, to the fule managment, injectors, gauges, clutch, LSD, (okay those tranny parts are really turbo but I got it to support it sooo), Boost controller, BOV, blah blah etc... Took me about. 13 months until I actuallysaved up the time and money saved to up put it in. .. God that was awful straring at my turbo kit for over a year.

I'm glad it's finally in

Now that it's in... I realized... that for the same amount money, I could have bought a Honda CBR600RR and do 10sec 1/4 ... .stock.

HAAHA.

My first junkyard kit came together very quickly. I had the turbo sitting for a few weeks, but once i got the motivation to actually put it on the car, i was able to source the rest of the needed parts in a matter of days. Gotta love the junkyard

It only took me about a month to turbo my del sol. Total budget build up, but it works good. All I have to say is ebay is my friend, I got a drag manifold and big fmic for 250 and 300. I started putting pieces on the car when I got them. I was driving around with a boost guage, turbo timer, fmic, 255lb pump, and 370 injectors with no turbo for about a week, it was pretty funny.

Its was about 5 months of research and right now its going on 10 months of purchasing. There have been things slowing me down. (have 2 kids, paying off credit cards, AND STILL WAITING FOR A MANIFOLD, DOWNPIPE, AND DUMPTUBE FROM JON AT THE THE DROP SHOP ) I should be done by sept bringing the total to 17 months!!!

Hey guys...iggy (quickb18b) and his girl live with me. Best roomates / friends in the world. You know its bad when you catch yourself in your room with all the turbo components layed out on the floor and you lay on the bed and stare for like 30min with no movement. HaHa oh wait we were doing that last night. Tony...now I know why I have been getting such good deals from you ! J/K. If your not busy maybe you can come over for the install....Wouldn't hurt to have your knowledge and know-how around when we get to work.

It's a money thing for me. My block is built, I have some parts for my head, etc. Right now I only have a Spearco 28x10.5x3 (for sale) intercooler and TiAL blowoff valve.
