I found this link on the apex website. Pretty interesting. Sorry if it has been posted before.

Maybe i will use an apex filter on my AEM CAI.

Also, K&N's are supposed to flow and filter air better after they are a little dirty!

I dunno, I wouldn't say the Apex is just a little bit better than the K&N. The Apex filter came out practically white, and the K&N was pretty grey.

Add to the fact that the Apex filter is also zero maintainance and I'd say that it's a much better filter than the K&N.

Too bad they didn't test the stock filter and the Comptech one since it's a GTR site. They still could have tested the stock nissan filter just to see what nissan sees as acceptable. I plan on getting the comptech, but after this comparison I'm worried it'll be like the HKS or Blitz.

Yeah filtering well is my number 1 concern, so it looks like the Apex is the only way to go other than stock. I think the "zero maintainance" thing is sketchy though. How the hell is that possible? The dirt has to go somewhere.

So why does Apexi use a K&N filter on their cold air intakes if tehy have their own line of filters? Especially if they work so well.

Didn't know they do. Interesting... I'm thinking I may just stay stock...

Well I don't think the dirt goes anywhere but stay on the filter. But yeah I'll agree that zero maintaince part is sketchy... you eventually have to get rid of it.

As for why they don't use it on their intakes, I wasn't even aware that they had intakes. If you go to their site, they only list the filter, but no intakes.

Ah that is much better... although it does retail for 165 or so.

Where can I get it for 80? And can I put it on the stock rubber hose?
