any itr owners use stock cams and Apex vafc?
I am wondering it properly tuned with stock cams will a Apex vafc add postive effect on stock cams. OR is it not worth getting until cams are upgraded. Any hp estimates and positive affects by getting the vafc? Thanks in advance.
If you are going to get cams eventually then I would wait. You can save money on tuning by doing it all at once. Although, you can still yield gains from a close to stock setup.

Yes it has a positive effect with stock cams.
Plus, you retain the OBD2 stuff to pass inspection (at least for me).

my vafc worked out nice for me , i gained like 9-10 whp thurout the band and made some really decent na numbers, off hand it was like 194whp and 131 tq, its been a while, but that was no cams , nor cam gears or anything like that
Gravity gained like 5-10whp and midrange from tuning the VAFC on boltons. Its a useful item as you keep adding things to your setup you can tune with it. Has worked well for me N/A and Turbo.

I used it for a while w/ stock cams, but if you are going to upgrade the cams later I would suggest waiting and just getting a hondata.
think AFC would void warranty? Even though it is easy enough to just yank the wires out? I think you'd probably really have to mess up the tuning to blow something with boltons and a AFC?
Yes it will kill your warranty in most cases.
Cam gears might or might not help the car depending on the setup and how you would like your power.

cant, they will check if anything is tapped into your ECU

I made 30-15 whp through out the 4000-6000 range just by lowering the vtec engagement and leaning out the fuel. Great tool for basic tuning, but if you want finer detail use a hondata.
