Default Pics of my almost completed home made turbo rex.

Ahhh the ghetto intercooler i picked up on a groupbuy for 200 bucks! look at that hacked up bumper!! wooo

There is my engine bay.. nothing insane.. just a lonely Z6 from 1995 with 50k miles.

The STD manifold with ihi turbo.. nothing major.. painted with high temp stuff.. and a crispy new o2 sensor.

My stock pm6 ecu chipped with an Atmel 29c256 chip running ghettodyne engine management software... the car hiccups a little during vacume but its ok.. it works no detonation.. no pinging.. and has a few other cute little features to handle the 450cc's rich as hell

The dsm blue tops... RIGGED.. no leaks.. so far.. wewt.

If u wanna check out more pics from when i removed the stock engine to the new engine to the turbo check out
http://mywpages.comcast.net/asmcoded/sirex/

Comments welcome.. and opinions... suggestions also...

damn..... thats a very close charge pipe to the radiator.....
IMO i would use that header wrap into that part of the tubing so u keep heat away from the radiator

other than that, looks great man! props and keep the good work!

I got about 5 of these turbos, freshly rebuilt if you ever need another

I noticed that it might be a pain to do a custom turbo with these things. Did you completly fabricat the DP or did you hack up a stock subaru one??

i never take my car out to the philly scene.. just drive it locally on weekdays very late at night... to many god damm thieves here in north philly. not that my **** is like the hottest thing.. single cam turbos are like so 1999 and everyone around here has dual cam but still... i keep it saved... rarely drive the thing... just those nights when i was a nice adrenalin rush ill pump up the boost and beat the **** out of it then put it away.

That intercooler looks mean. Yeah, I bet it was a task to put those pipes in. That turbo is meant to have a top mount intercooler. Good design for that... Plus that friggin long intercooler. Looks good man, its done right.

It looks absolutely gorgeous. That's a tiny garage how do you find space to work?

Better yet, plug the hole with a SPARKPLUG, they are the same thread, and then put the o2 sensor in the DP under the oil pan

hehehe, thanks a lot for the comments guys.. i wish i could afford a really nice manifold and turbo but this whole project including the car was just about 3000 bucks.. im sure it can hit a 14 sec run at the track, it moves nicely and for driving around its hella fun little car... hopefully one day i can go with the big boys with a B18C1 turbo but for now... the little single cam that could is good enough for me...

the garage does look small as hell but its really not that small.... heres a better angle of the garage back when i first bought the car.
