OEM Vs. Aftermarket Type R Spoiler.........

How is the shape of the aftermarket one? Is there that much of a difference, quality wise between the oem and aftermarket type r spoiler? Reason I am asking is because I found a really good deal on a pinted aftermarket Type r spoiler, and I was wondering if it is worht getting, or am I better off getting an oem one, and having it painted.....
The aftermarket type r spoiler is made of ISO 9002 fiberglass material, and will be painted with PPG paint....... Can anyone tell the difference between the oem and aftermarket ones? I also heard that the OEM type r spoiler is made of fiberglass material also, is that true??
any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks..........

You can get a 3rd brake light on the Comptech R wing though

They have no more, you have to go directly to wings west for it now. It is the same one since wings west manufactured it for comptech. A little more pricey on the wings west site so look around.

You would be better off choosing the WW replica designed specifically for the GS-R. An OEM ITR wing will leave some exposed holes on a GS-R, and does not have the 3rd brake light. The Comptech/WW wing addresses both of these problems. And as an FYI, the OEM ITR wing is not fiberglass.

I would try to find anything but fiberglass. Chips and not as reliable as a polymer.

Huh? I thought you are selling the car? It is a lot easier to sell a stock car 9 out of 10 times.

As long as the aftermarket spoiler is "ABS MOLDED" material, it will be ok. ABS molded material is the same material as OEM spoiler, very light weight and strong. The bottom of the spoiler where the holes are connected to the trunk should say if the spoiler is ABS MOLDED.
