did u reconnect the VTM from the engine to the ecu? i think there are 2 wires that the VAFC uses that the SAFC doesn't use.. (VTM and something else) you need to hook those to back up to it's original connections.

The car was running fine with no check engine light for the whole year i had it. For that whole year there was no V-AFC in the vehicle. Now that i put a s-afc in the car i have check engine light.

I'm getting a code 9. I checked c-speedracing.com and it said its a
CYP sensor (cylinder) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor.
Um what do i do now?

check your wiring. sounds like you cut into the wrong wire. Why a S-AFC anyways?

A VAFC is the same price no? And VTEC Xover adjustment is a good thing.

BTW: does anyone know how to wire up a spoon vtec controller for eg civic to a dc2? I remember hearing something about a obd1 jumper but im not 100% sure on how to wire it up cause im looking into getting one soon. Thanks

What's so special about the spoon vtec controller? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm actually curious. Where does it differ from a vafc in terms of vtec engagement/disengagement?
As for the wires...not sure, I'm obd-1.

It really does not differ. The one thing is that you can change vtec engagement on the fly (in the middle of a race, circuit or road course) which can be important sometimes. Also it is spoon and Im a spoon *****. Also i heard that the S-AFCII has more settings for air and fuel then the V-AFC. So i can have the best of both worlds. Vtec control and the better then V-AFC, S-AFCII settings.
