Default Suggestions on smaller battery

I need to make room for a bigger intake tube and I dont like to move my battery elsewhere...I know there's a smaller battery available but I dont remember the brand. Anyone here replaced theirs with a smaller battery?

I have seen people with them at Honda-tech meets and I can't remember the name either.... I am sure someone will remember here.

You can try here: http://thunderstruck-ev.com/batteries.htm

I have the SVR-14, it's very small and light, but I haven't had a problem with it in the 6 months that I've had it. They also sell other brands like the Hawker Genesis, and Optima batteries as well. Very good customer service too.

They have less cold cranking amps, so if you have cold winters over there, its gonna have a hard time kicking your engine over.

The Optima Gel Cell line of batteries are very compact for such powerful batteries. To save space, they can be mounted in any way, because they're sealed. There are others but I would go with these.

Yeah, fortunately it doesn't dip below 70 degrees here in Hawaii too often, so I haven't had any problems with the battery. I've had the SVR-14 battery for about 6-7 months with no issues. I use it on my race car only, for a daily driver I'd stick to something with a little more capacity.

Wil- would you be willing to sell only the bracket and holder? I'd be in for one of those, I'm going to need all the space I can pretty soon.

Hey Wil
So will this kit only consist of the braket and bolts? will be have to drill any addtional holes? and can we use other batterey like Optima and such instead of that super small battery?

I tried out a rider mower battery and it pretty much died on me a few times, I dont have anything big stereo wise, but i think my alarm was pretty much killing the battery at night. If anyone else here is using mower batteries can you list the name of them and how many cc amps it has? also does anyone know exactly how many cca you need to turn a car over in the dead of winter.

I am VERY happy with my Hawker Genisis which is the same battery as the more expensive Oddessy and DynaBatt...

i tried searching for info for you but i think my search isnt working right now...someone posted a site a Dodge Stealth guy wrote up which was very good and...

I bought the battery for $70,weights ~13lbs and it works everytime in my crx...more than i can say about my 50lbs Optima that cost me $130

i had it mounted up in my fender well for added room in the engine compartment...the guys in the Drag forum may know which batt im talking about
