my 91 accord will not start when it is hot or humid. As soon as the sun goes down it will start and run great. Any ideas? I have checked the fuel delivery system and it is fine, so is the ignition.

 

Duh Duh Duh...its the the main fuel relay.

Anyway, yeah it's most likely the main relay.

 

Hey look at my sig

 

MY BROS 90 ACCORD DIDNT START IN THE HEAT, SO AFTER WASTING MONEY AT THE MECHANIC THAT NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM.......ONE DAY HE SPRAYED WATER ON THE HOOD AND IN A FEW MIN THE CAR STARTED. BEEN DOIN IT SINCE, WELL...UNTILL HE SOLD IT.

YEA I NO, I SOUND CRAZY, STUPID IDEA, BUT IT WORKED!!

 

just change the main relay.

cars affected:
-3rd gen
-4th gen and i think early 5th gen accords

my 94 accord had the main relay problem too.

 

my main relay just went this summer in my 98 accord. Had starting problems last summer too, but this summer it got worse and worse, swapped the relay a month and a half ago and not one problem since.
