I dont get it, I removed the PS. It works fine.

OK i removed the PS pump hoses and brackets from my 96 gsr. I then went to NAPA and bought some plugs to plug the Rack up. I did that, and it works excelent. I have herd of people building brealthers and stuff like that. Whats the point? Mine works and hasn't blown any seals yet.

What is your experience with this?

Its not that you will blow seals, its that venting the rack will make it a little bit easier to turn because your giving the fluid some where to go when you turn the steering wheel.

when you remove the lines you effectively remove quite a bit of fluid...it does make it a little easier.

Yes but the fluid in the rack has no where to go if it isn't vented. I mean if you drain some more fluid from the rack then I guess that would be better, but trust me there is a difference when you vent it. It makes it slightly easier to turn so your not fighting everything sealed in the rack.
