Default Will power steering fluid shoot everywhere!?!?

I am installing inserts in my 00 Si, and need to access the top driver side motor mount to lower the motor a little. the power steering line is in the way, and I need to remove it.

If I remove the 2 bolts on the line here (the ones up top) will the line just pull straight out? Will I have a mess and will PS fluid leak out? Is it under pressure at all?

Here are the 2 bolts I'm talking about.

Thanks

You can remove them it is not under pressure when the car is not running . It will leak some fluid but not much at all just use a rag to catch it before it makes a mess.

Why not just remove the P/S belt and remove the pump?

Wouldn't that be like 10x harder than just removing those 2 bolts?

In my EG2 I did it by forcing the line a little bit. The LEFT bolt if you're staring at your mount from the driver side of your car, you can access from in front of the line, while the right bolt you can access by sticking the extension in between the line and the engine. You will also probably need to remove the PS fluid reservoir, just lift it out of its bracket, and move the bottom hose ( the large one) from the little arm on the side that holds it, so you can maneuver the reservoir enough to access and have space to remove the horizontal bolt. This is how I did it 2 days ago. Good luck!

IMO, it's much easier/less of a hassle to loosen the belt slide it off and unbolt the pump to get the entire pump out of the way. No worries of air in the P/S line and no fluid leaking everywhere. That's how I do it every single time I do a timing belt at work.
