DVD picture on the Clarion VRX935VD is very grainy

DVD picture on the Clarion VRX935VD is very grainy
I just purchased this unit and the DVD picture is very grainy. It is nothing compared to my previous Eclipse 7002 LCD. What is wrong with this? It almost seems like I'm watching VHS instead of DVD.
