Default New 1/4 times from Bristol , b18b civic with n2o!

Well i bought a used NAWZ "nos" kit froma guy local for $150. Couldnt pass that up. Put it on today took it to the track. Im runnin a 50 shot dry.

My car is a ex coupe. Interior was partially striped, but from my stereo days i still have tons and tons of peel and seal (dynamat type stuff) I am working on getting it all out, its a bitch to get out.

BTW - times at bristol suck because of elevation and the track is at 1 degreee uphill. so dont ******* talk **** , like that last times i posted... and my clutch is still sliping, new clutch will be here in a few days...

First run:
R/T: .525
60' : .000 (the left lane at the track wasnt giving 60' times...dunno)
330 : 6.762
1/8 : 10.147
MPH : 72.16
1000 : 13.027
1/4 : 15.444
MPH : 95.56

First run:
R/T: .177
60' : 2.249
330 : 6.636
1/8 : 9.961
MPH : 75.86
1000 : 12.813
1/4 : 15.208
MPH : 96.20

First run:
R/T: .531
60' : 2.462
330 : 6.538
1/8 : 9.820
MPH : 74.58
1000 : 12.652
1/4 : 15.037
MPH : 96.45

I was fairly happy with the final time. I am still pretty new to racing on the 1/4. Im still trying to figure out the best time to flip the switch and all that.

I know my 60' times suck. Dunno what else to do. With more pratice i hopefully will get them down.

I will be running 75 shot soon, with a FPR and the WOT switch.

interesting...i would have thought that setup would be faster (not to be ragging on you or anything)...maybe invest in a pair of drag slicks to get those 60' times down

i'm pretty sure you'd be in the 14s if the elevation isn't so high/clutch not slipping/track a 0 degree elevation..

You should be low 14's with the 50 shot. I ran a 14.1 with a 55 shot, and a 14.2 with a 75 shot . Oh yeah this was on Nittos.

Something is kinda wrong. If you notice in my signiture thats the time i ran with a B18b and a B16 tranny with just bolt ons. Im also installing a 75 shot on my car this week and i hope to hit mid 13's or better. Just practice racing as much as possible and work on your 60ft times. With a 96mph trap speed that should be a 14.5 if you get a good 60ft. Good luck.

Thats a pretty good time all-motor . What bolt ons do you have? Wish my LS motor was that strong. Only bolt-on i'm missing is header. I am also hoping for the 13's with the 75, need more traction.

I'm running in the 13's with that trap speed. Get some slicks and you will see a better result.

A kid with a stock b18b 92-95 coupe around here with the usual bolt ons is hitting a 14.6 with stock tranny. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

yeah you should be running alot better than that, especially with that high of a trap...this is what i ran in my b18b hatch with just aem cai intake and 2.25" exhaust:

r/t 1.026
60' 2.310
330 6.339
1/8 9.685
MPH 75.12
1000 12.554
1/4 15.025
MPH 93.22\

I'm sure I could get into the 14's with better traction

I did a compression test a week or so ago and it was like 170-160-160-170 if i remember right. io know they were all within 10. Its got new plugs, newer stock wires. I do need a new filter for my intake.its ghetto ractive brand. the exhuast is no cat with 2.25 pipe , resonator, and a ansa universal muffler..

im not sure what to do. i know my new clutch will help. i am going to run les tire pressure next time , launch a little higher, and feather the clutch some.

thanks for the help...

just givin it a little bump to see if anyone else wants to see this.

but coming back from work today my a/f guage said i was running EXTREMLY lean. but then like 30 seconds later it was fine. i know autometer a/f guages arent the best for accuracy, but i have never seen it do that. any ideas what that coulda been?

last time i ran w/o it was a 16.2 so it was a huge improvment. i am also getting better at driving. i will give er a n/a run next time to see how it does.

the 75 shot is goin on tommorow probably, and a new fuel filter. i think the one in it is still origional with 160,000 miles on it, heh.
