HELP! broken lug stem
today while loosening my lug nuts i accidentally broke the stem right off one of them. How do i go about getting this fixed? is it an easy task ? can i take it to some sort of tire shop and have them do it? i'm clueless as to what to do with this so for now i guess it'd be ok if i roll around with three lug nuts? please help.
if you are think you could remove the hub fix it your self
you will pay around $5 for another lug
just bang it out and bang in the new one thats all
if you cant take it to any repair shop and pay the labor fee's
in wich it will be more $$$$

pull the rotor off and beat the hell out of the studd till it comes out. Simple. Push one in and see if you can hammer it in from the back. If you cant, it's cool. When you torque your wheels to spec, threading the nut on the stud will pull the stud into place correctly.

it's impossible to bang out the stud or put one back in without taking the hub off
and in order to take the hub of you need some good tools
I had one of my studs replaced after I messed up the thread on it and my mechanic charged me $35

I hate all the mis-information being thrown around.
The fronts you will have to pull the hub out. Best bet is to take the hub/spindle assy off (remove the upper/lower balljoints, axle and tie rod end) and take it to a shop to have the hub pressed out, replace the stud and press the hub back in. Now is a good time to put in a new wheelbearing.
The rears have no clearance issues, so bang away.
