I will agree that DC Sports is generally no good, but their JDM 4-1 is not bad quality at all. It hangs a little low, so if you're slammed it might not be a good idea. Quality, fit, etc will not be a problem with the DC JDM 4-1. If you can get a good deal on it, go for it.

I have a stock exaust manifold off a 2001 type R, will it bolt on to my 2000 LS and is it worth it?

will it work? yes but the part that bolts onto the cat may have a larger diameter than your original LS exhaust manifold.

Is it worth it? probably not since the LS engine would mostly benefit from a 4-2-1 rather than a 4-1. Unless of course you drive in the 7000 rpm range, then 4-1 is the way to go

Check out the AIRMASS 4-2-1 Headers. They're ceramic coated in and out, nice welds. I put the blu set on my G2 Integra and they're tight. A considerably better deal than DC, and higher quality than most others.

select your cat/main pipe/muffler depending on whether you want low end torque or high speed.

are jdm oem 4-1 the best bang for the buck... is it worth spending 500 for a header when i could get a jdm oem for like 200

what about a jdm tpye r 4-2-1 with 2.5 collector ?

For headers:

My choice of header if I had all the cash to little would be the following order:

1)toda - $9xx when I last checked
2)hytech - about same as toda
3)jun - about same as toda
4)Apexi GT JDM Spec - about $4xx at most places
5)OEM type-R - $4xx, I think
6)DC Sports - cheapest, $3xx

Best case - apexi JDM GT Spec although I havent heard any good or bad things about it.

Middle ground - OEM type-r from jdmhondaprts.com or something.

Worst case - I may buy the DC as I dont plan on going any lower than what the pro-kit will take me. So, the low hanging is not an issue. Discoloration - baaah!

I will get my cat from hytech since I have a 4 door GSR and will lengthen the cat to make it work with the exhaust I buy (probably apexi WS, tanabe hyper medallion or greddy evo)

Don't forget Comptech's stepped 4-2-1 header which ranges from $400-$500 depending on the weld type.

Timmy, you have the comptech header? I was wondering what people thought about it. I have a friend that has it and seems to like it. Any other opinions?

stay with something OEM, whether its the original stock or a ITR...everything aftermarket sounds like crap on honda's...seriously i have never once heard a nice sound come from any exhaust on any honda outside of an NSX
