Default UPDATE!! HELP!! Vibration Problems

Ok, I was driving my car up to sac and at some points my car would shake, more specfically my right front tire, it would vibrate as if it were not balanced. I took it in to get balanced and my friend that works at Les Shwab said all the tires were fine. They rotated them also. I check all the bolts, everything seemed fine, and I check the tires before it was rotated and it was solid. Any ideas what would cause the virbrations? Anything in the tranny?

thanks

//Jesse

If its the wheel bearing, how do I replace it or what can I do?

Would buying a GSR Disc brake swap replace the bearing?

does it vibrate under acceleration only? does it go away when you let off of it?
if they are the case it is likely an inner joint. here is another scenario.
is it a vibration? or a grinding noise, if grinding, which side? does it go away on left turns? l/s bearing. if it goes away on right turns it is a r/s bearing. the bearing noise usually gets worse, on the opposite side of a turn. I/E on a right turn/ centrifugal force loads loads the left tire. given the info you stated, it seems like it may be an inner joint. yes reman axles have been bad. this is not uncommon for a reman axle. hope that helps.

it occured when crusing, under acceleration it would continue and under deceleration it would go away. So it could be the inner joint? Where is the inner joint? I just replace the lower ball joint.

I guess later, I will have to get some new axles. try that. I got it for 35, so it wont kill me to bad.

it is possible, but usually on decelleration, no gas pedal, if it isnt there it is usually the inner joint.

allright, I guess I will be replacing my 2 week old axle.
I drove some more tonight (1 hour drive) and at the end of my trip, the vibrations really stated to kick in. It vibrated and it became where I couldnt tell if it was the right side or not. It would happen under acceleration and deceleration. between 40 up to 80 mph. I had a small incident with a ball joint:

I had to replace the balljoint and a refurbished axle. So from the way the car acts and the tendencey to vibrate the left side to kinda (its hard to explain) I think it could be the axle.

I have the same exact problem....I get the vibrations at 40-80mph and I get some kind of clunking sound when I turn like something is loose but I tightened everything to spec's and it still has a tendency to do it.

I shOre hope it is just the axle....that is just a little work and sweat. I already replaced one. The other one is showing signs of wear. BUT the damn clunking is coming from the brand new side....makes me wonder. The boots on that sucker still have that new rubber look!
EDIT: If it IS the ball joint how do I go about replacing it (upper and lower)?

allright I replaced the axle and it still vibrates.
It feels like the right wheel is shaking, and it does that under acceleration.

what else could it be guys?!!?!??!?!
