Default Type R Wing

I just got my wing, and I was wondering if anyone could post pics of their install or anything. We were holding the wing up to the back, and it looks like it is too wide for the car. I think it might just be up there wrong, but I just wanted to make sure. Also, it bolts on by 2 bolts on each side right?

Thanks. But I just don't like the wingless look. And the GSR wing is dumb looking.

Ok, well I don't like the look of it. And about the whole VTEC thing, I could care less. I like my LS.

Don't worry, VTEC is overrated anyway. I thought elitists exists only in the ITR forum and not here.
I hope I can help but my car is pretty much stock exterior wise except for the OEM kit and rims.

Try the manufacturer's webpage if you can't figure it out. I can't see a simple 'install' like this needing a how-to guide.

The OEM ITR wing is held on by 2 bolts on each side. That is going to leave one hole on each side open which your are going to have to get filled or plugged.

Hey, i just went through the same thing with my car. I changed from the gsr wing to the type r wing. Be prepared to have some body work done to the trunk lid, i thought that the holes should line up for each wing but they dont. The gsr wing bolts in closer together than the type r wing, I had to fill the gsr holes, sand and redrill holes for the type r wing. What made this even worse was that we didnt realize this untill after the trunk had already been painted. So we got to do it all over again. Just plan ahead!!!

the spoiler should bolt onto the trunk lid. if it doesnt, i'd check to see if the spoiler was meant for your make and model.

I've seen pictures of that. That sucks man, it's not a pretty site. They're actually that easy to rip off? (ITR wings)

I would suggest to cover the holes when going from a GS-R to an ITR fin by using vinyl. Go to a graphics shop and get the color of your car (white, silver, black, red etc.) on a sheet of vinyl. Cut it and cover the holes. No one will notice unless they get very very close, and it saves lots of $ in the meantime.
