Default Affects of not tuning a newly built motor right away

I am in the process of putting my recently built H22A1 back into my Prelude, which included new eagle rods, type-s pistons, .25 over, rings, crower stage 2 cams, dual spings, and titanium retainers. I know I should and will get it tuned in time, but not until next year or later this fall.
What are the affects of running this setup on a chipped (Dinan) P13 ecu without tuning it besides not getting the optimal performance out of my mods at this time?

And then, will getting an Apexi V-AFC be sufficient to tune it on a dyno?

This is on a daily driven street car.

if you can, you want to get your air/fuel ratio as correct as you can get it, as soon as possible.

The V-AFC would do this with dyno time?
