Greddy boost guage and Hondata reading discrepency??
Is this normal? Seems like while i was tunign the car, my 52mm Greddy Boost guage was reading within .1 bar of what teh ECU was reading. Has anyoen else expirienced this?
My Greddy boost gauge(60mm warning) was spot on with my EMS at first, now it reads consistently .1-.2 bar higher than my EMS + 3bar map...
this is consistently the problem with the GM 3bar and the hondata. the new version of romeditor adds a map sensor calibration setting so you can adjust for the voltages it puts out.
Ic. I wonder if it will cause a problem down the road ei. me setting the bc uo to round 14psi according to the BG where in actuality it is seeing 1.1 bar.

Nah, shouldn't be a problem because you are getting tuned by what your ECU says. So even if there is a discrepency between your boost gauge and your ecu, it won't matter, as the ecu is tuned for the load that it sees... Your ecu could read 10 PSI, your gauge 14 PSI, doesn't matter which one is truly accurate as long as your tune is good and matches what the ECU says... Hope my ramblings are makin sense

Yea it makes sense. But when i get up there around 1 bar to the limit of pump gas, dont u think a .1 diff could make a diff between safely running and detonating?

i have seen this now will several different 3 bar map sensors. rom editor will actually read lower then the mechanical boost guage

Yeh I have noticed this on all the hondata's ive seen tuned. Hondata always reads about 1.5psi lower then the boost guage.
