Default advancing timing?

k series motors same as b series as timing can be advanced on the motor to run higher octane fuel?

i use to have my timing advanced on my 91 integra so i could run 94 octane, would i be able to do the same with my rsx base model?

another reason i would like to do it is because i found that i would get better gas mileage when the timing was advanced

Default Re: advancing timing? (unKnown)

From what I've read, the K-Series motors are computer-timed, and the 'i' in 'i-vtec' refers in part to the computer constantly optimizing the engine's timing already (VTC). I dont think there is a 'distributor cap' to speak of in there...someone correct me if Im wrong on this, please.

Some people report better performance with higher octane gas in the K-series engines, maybe that's why.
