nice, turbo B16? I'm planning on doing the same in the future. Do you have any internals built?

Nice welding on the downpipe! Would you happen to know if that was done with a MIG or a TIG welder?

Thats definately TIG!! With MIG os STICK, welding steel, the weld beads are usually raised above your work piece. I've only seen aluminum welded with TIG where the beads are raised.

The downpipe, manifold, and intercooler are from MaxRev. I got them from Kyle @ http://www.ks-motorsports.com.

I cut the front rebar to the shape of the intercooler, than welded a plate to reinforce it. I drilled 2 holes to place bolts in to mount the cooler.

The paint is from a 2002 PPG paint book, Lambourgini section, Blu Ely. The car was painted before the engine bay. ( painted engine bay when I took out the D16)

The setup is as follows:

1990 B16A, Y1 Transmission
Toda Flywheel
ACT XT Clutch

Hasport Gen 1 mounts
Jimfab crossmember ( real nice )
Skunk2 intake manifold, AEM rail/regulator
Stock internals, GSR Cams waiting to be put in
Hondata S200 /boost/data logging
P28 ecu, chipped for Hondata
550cc peak and hold injectors, (RC blanks)
255lph intank fuel pump

Max Rev manifold
Max Rev downpipe
Max Rev intercooler
Garret t3/to4e
Tial wastegate
more stuff I can't think of right now

all on Tein HA's, w/ Spoon SW388's / Yokohama Advan A032-R's

i've had this car for a while (years), in edmonton, alberta. mostly in the garage though.

I've got the jimfab crossmember too. It's so nice looking and really frees up a lot of space. good work, everything looks very good.

thanks for the replys!

the piping from the turbo outlet to the intercooler is going to be tough.

Any suggestions? or pictures on how you did it?

buy a silicone 90 off the compressor then run it through the hole in the front end that the AC condenser lines went through.

Is that a 2.25" downpipe? I'm STRUGGLING to get a 3" to fit my B16a with 1st gen HaSport's and the Jim Fab bar... Looking at the JimFab's on my car, they could have shortened the teardrop for the stabilizer bar an inch or two and made me a MUCH happier camper!

I'm kinda wondering the same thing...

Anyone HAD 1st gen welded HaSports that upgraded to the Billet ones? How much of a difference did you notice in engine positioning?
