Greddy Type S BOV Soft? Hard?
i put my greddy bov on this weekend but my instructions were in japanese. how do i set the Soft/Hard and should i set it at something or leave it how they sent it?
I think is sounds best pretty soft. screw the thread in like 1/4 of the way and tighten the bolt. play around with it and choose what you like best. The tighter you go, the shorter and quieter the bov gets.
use a 10mm wrench and loosen the nut, then you can adjust the thread with a 4.5mm? hex key (the hole for the hex key is located on the top of the thread). Turning it clockwise will make it harder and counterclockwise will make it softer. After you are done adjusting it with the hex key, tighten the nut back up with the 10mm wrench and your good to go. If you hear "joo joo joo" after you blow off, its most likely you have tightened it too much and is causing compressor surge. If you hear a faint whistle after you let off the gas (just normal driving, not hitting boost), it could be that you have set it too soft.

Yea, if you hear any BOV fluttering, you've set the spring too hard. And if you've set it too soft with the whistling after you let off the gas, you may be losing pressure when you boost.
