TEINS or Tokico Iluminas/Skunk2 Coils??
OK heres the scoop
Someone here in Canada is selling his Tein HR suspension that has been used for 3-4 years and is starting to show some surface rust. He wants $800 Cdn for them
AND
Somone else is sellin tokico illuminas and skunk2 coils for $400-500 CDN. The coils are at least 2 years old i am told and not too sure about the shocks.
What should i be looking for and which ones will be a better suspension setup in the long run? I will be mostly driving on the streets but will hit up the track in the summers occasdionally

the Teins can be serviced here in socal...i know this first hand cuz i took mine there last month. i don't know about the tokico with skunk setup.
i'd spend the $$$ and get the Teins...i have the HA's and they are hella tiiiite and stiff...handling is amazing on my EF. make sure you get the proper lower control arms for the coilovers. also, make sure the RE setup you get comes with helper springs and 2 wrenches...good luck with your future setup...

HR is what? Height adj but not damping adj right?
Forget it...I have HA...live in Toronto and my rusted to ****....the only way to fix it is to sand the body and paint. When my shocks blew I sent them to Tein USA and they fixed the shocks AND painted OVER the rust with their Tein Green
So of course its still rustings now. Best way to do it is to sand the body yourself and paint.
HR is NOT better then illumina and skunk....actually HA is not much better either
The only thing the Tein has going for it is that it has a short body.
For $800 buy some Konis and save up for a sleeve kit with eibach ERS springs.
