True.

Stock b16 compression + JUN3's or Toda C's = no power and lost of money spent

do it right, if you dont want to up your compression dont buy such big cams, if you are gonna up the compression..i like the JUNS

yeah that goes without saying. ive seen people pour thousands into a b16... and then someone with a mildly modded b18 completely make it look silly.

the only money worth spending on a b16 is what you pay someone to tear it out

I'm buying a ITR block, and bumping the compression somewhere around 12:0...12:5 who knows... I'm not sure how the cams run in lower compression, such as 11:5 or higher... the higher the better

No way would I even think about running cams as aggressive as Toda3's or JUN3's without up'n the compression... I would just be giving my money away. I'm leaning toward Toda, just because they seem to be the best bang for my buck...

Well, I know that the spec C's and type 3's need very high compression, and should be used for drag cars... since this is a daily driven civic... I might take a step down and go with B's or 2's... I know I would still make good power.... and it might be better for me in the end..... plus tuning will be a problem since there is no one around me, I will need to drive 150 miles to get to a tuner.

Build the bottom end first. Then worry about the head.

Forget that. That is the whole purpose of VTEC. Just for your info I'm building an 85mm 12.5:1 Skunk2 stage III daily drivin Si. Stock stroke. Just because I can, I wan't to and everyone on here hates B16's. Just plan on breaking 200whp and 12.99. That's my goal.

I was looking into doing the same thing, With new rods/pistons, and the same compression, balanced and blueprinted.... before i buy the cams... I think im going to keep the stock bottem end, with 81mm bore...
