I have a 1991 Honda Accord LX, and i am getting approx 20 miles to the gallon. My father said that it was getting around 35 before I started driving it, alittle over a year ago. The miliage got worse, as the tires wore out, but I have had them replaced, and at some point last year the ignitor went out, and that was replaced as well. But even with those items replaced, I have found that I am not achieveing the previous 35 miles per gallon. I was wondering what things could cause the miliage difference, and how I could go about improving this, being as economical as possiable. It has 141,400 miles on it, so I realize that it will not get as good as it did when it was new, but around 127,000 is when my father drove it. Any help is appriciated... Thanks, David

do you hammer the throttle a lot?


Try changing fuel filter air filter and cleaning the Fuel Injection System on the car....may be time for some new plugs as well
