Pics of My R with the sunroof (Updated)....
Hi guys, I know there was a discussion before about my Type-R with a Sunroof and Leather Interior, so without further ado, here are some pics. Its a 1999 ITR CW CDM-Spec.

Just for kicks hehe, a shot of a cop following me and Chris (ITR21) coming back from camping:

The previous owner had them leather wrapped, so they are ITR seats, only leather wrapped. It was a company that did the custom job of replacing all the cloth stuff with leather right down to the side door panels.

The sunroof was done properly, no complaints and the glass is a very thin, the leathers might be slippery on cornering, but I don't track it, and I haven't had that much problems while cornering so far.
Not everyone tracks or races their R. Some people like their car, because they like the car.
If everyone's ITR was OEM, it'd be a pretty boring world, yeah?

If I remember correctly, the sunroof/moonroof was a dealer installed option in Canada? Was this how yours was done?
Was the leather interior also an option?

I've seen some information that indicates otherwise, and certainly there is a different "feel" when sitting in an ITR seat and a GS-R or LS seat.
EDIT: Just came across a post by Mike K stating that the component part numbers are the same across the models, although this still doesn't account for the distinct difference in feel that more than a few individuals (including myself) have noted
. I would be interested in comparing a stock seat to one that was pieced together from these part numbers.

I don't know if it was a dealer installed option because I am the second owner, but I think both the leather and the sunroof were done aftermarket because the company that did it has their label on the inside of my door. Or maybe it was contracted out through the dealer. I'll find out for ya dude!!

You don't need to find out for me thanks.... I tend to remove things instead of add them.
As long as you're happy, thats what counts.

I think the "different" feel your feeling is probably the suede. The ITR seats lack adjustablity on the bottom seat portion as opposed to the GSR. So maybe when you sat in the GSR seats, the bottom portion wasn't positioned the same as the ITR.
I read that the Type R seat is different from other tegs, the dampening in the seat is different to accomadate the stiffer springs.

It is, it's softer sprung to accomodate the stiffer suspension and how Honda thought we might be put off by a firmer/harsher ride.
