Anyone do just a ls/vtec without other power mods?
My current setup is a b16a2 head with a gsr block with pr3 pistons. Formerly it was all a b16. The extra .2 liters was night and day and I never thought it would make such a world of difference. I'm going to have to do some work on my bottom end anyway and I was wondering if the extra 34cc's or whatever would be worth it. That doesnt seem like much to me but some people make ls/vtecs sound like the most powerful things in the world. Usually when someone does a ls/vtec they do cams/pistons/and everything else so of course that wil make a huge difference. Anyone just went to the bigger stroke can you tell me how much of a difference it was? I dont want to hear about the unreliability of ls/vtec either. Thats already been beaten to death. I just want to know the effect on power and feel of the car.
